Have you ever met a person whose soul exudes almost pure LOVE?
We have, and her name is Darlene Chaquette. In the many times we have been with her, and witnessed her quiet, unassuming manner, we are awed by her.
She is the person who this Honorary Award is named for, because she stands most tall in the defense of animals.
Darlene was born in Wyoming, and came to Port Chicago, California with her family… She met her husband there, and together they raised two girls until her husband passed away leaving her to become the head of household.
Her chosen field to work in was the care of the elderly. She lovingly took care of many people, but it is her commitment to animals that will be remembered by those who knew Darlene. Her daughter, Brenda, told us that she seldom cried except for when a pet died.
The L Sisters are honoring all our followers who show love for their animals, or care for a lost, stolen, and abused animal, or in some way help an animal.
If you send in someone’s name , we will send that person (through e-mail) a Darlene Chaquette “I RESPECT ALL ANIMALS” Award.
We will also publish the person’s name on our website so the rest of the world can know. We especially solicit the names of children who we can honor, so that they can become the future stewards of animals---all animals worldwide.
